day 11 in nyc: on the statue of liberty, finding white castle, and the museum of modern art part ii
1 Jan 2006:
1) The Statue of Liberty
Today, YS, Diana and I went to see the Statue Of Liberty. Yes, how can you come to New York if you don't see it? ;)

This is the Manhattan Skyline from where we were taking the ferry to Liberty.

And this is me and Diana on said ferry.

And this is Liberty. The side of her tt no one else ever sees - her butt.

Then her from the bottom-up.
...And so thus begins the requisite "Look at me! I've been to NY!" type photos.

Ooh... And finally a 3 person picture at the Ferry Terminal in front of the Eagle Sculpture!

2) Finding Whitecastle
Guess what? Harold and Kumar weren't dreaming when they said tt they went to Whitecastle! Coz it DOES exist!!!

And I've found it!!!

Oh, look at the *huge* burgers!!!
Wahahahahahaha.
3) The Museum of Modern Art (Part II)
And now it's back to MOMA with YS, Diana and Sandra.

This is how the 2nd floor of MOMA looks like. Even the interior is (modern) art itself.

This is one of it's more famous paintings...

And this is Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory". The original of which is found here.

Along with Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night", the original of which is ALSO found here.

This is Van Gogh's "Cypresses", another famous piece of his.

And this is my fave Cezare.

This is the famous Monet's "Waterlilies". Yes, it goes from wall to wall, literally.

And this one's pretty famous too... Except I can't remember who it was done by. ARGH.

Oh yes. From the famous, now we move on to the other types of art. Like white paint. White paint framed is art.

2 black and white squares placed in view of each other is also art.

Um. Hello? Is anybody in thereeeee????

Campbell's soup! Andy Warhol you're making me hungry!

...

Talk about unfinished business (but you gotta admit this is pretty damn cool).

And lastly, graffiti photography. The genius on this one. Amazing.
